INTACT Hurricane Mitigation
Mitigation is the process of 'hardening' a home to make it less likely to be damaged during a storm.
INTACT actively participated in the My Safe Florida Home (MSFH) fund and assisted 465 residents with the installation of hurricane shutters, replacement of garage and exterior doors, roof to wall strengthening and the addition of secondary water barriers for their roofs. The MSFH program has ended. No additional funding is currently available.
If you have unmet needs as a result of disaster damage to your home, you may wish to contact the appropriate housing repair program to apply for assistance. Please note that services are limited by the number of applicants and funding available and there is no guarantee that a program will be able to assist you. If you are unsure of the appropriate program, you may look up the informaiton at the Property Appriaser's website.
