National Center of Health Statistics
The National Center for Health Statistics page has some interesting, albeit less than comprehensive, data. To receive information on such topics as "Behavioral Risk Factors" and "Use of Contraceptives" click on the "Data Warehouse" button of the main menu, or click the "News Releases and Fact Sheets" button for material on subjects like "Triplet Births: Trends and Outcomes, 1971-94."

This site offers a wealth of U.S. census data. The "Subjects A-Z" button has such links as "County Business Patterns" and "County Profiles." The Census Bureau Home Page also has an internal search engine and "Current U.S. Population Count" and "Current Economic Indicators" features. Unfortunately, it can be a bit problematic to use.
