Monday, April 2, 2012 - Spend Tuesday Afternoon With Your Ancestors At The Fort Pierce Library
The Treasure Coast Genealogy Society will be offering family history assistance at the Fort Pierce Branch Library this April with the series: “Tuesday Afternoon with Your Ancestors.”Following the Treasure Coast Genealogical Society’s meeting on Tuesday, April 17 at 1:30 p.m., Carol Mahler, a local historian in DeSoto County, will speak on the history of Arcadia and Desoto County. Mahler is the author of “Guy LaBree, Barefoot Artist of the Seminoles.” She has served as an adjunct professor at Florida Gulf Coast University and worked with the DeSoto County Historical Society. This program will take place in the first floor meeting room.
Additionally, volunteers with the Treasure Coast Genealogical Society will provide individual help with family research every Tuesday and Thursday in April from 9 a.m. – noon in the Genealogy Section of the library on the second floor. More information is available at www.tcgsfl.org.
