Wednesday, June 9, 2010 - County Public Safety Coordinating Council Hosts Circuit-Wide Meeting June 24

The St. Lucie County Public Safety Coordinating Council is scheduled to host its first "Circuit-wide" meeting on Thursday, June 24 at 3:30 p.m. in Conference Room 3 of the Roger Poitras Administration Annex, 2300 Virginia Ave.

Public Safety Coordinating Council Chairman and County Commissioner Chris Craft has invited members of the Treasure Coast Legislative Delegation to participate in the meeting and discuss bills that were either passed or proposed during the recent Florida Legislative Session and review how they impact jail populations, local budgets and State mandates.  Additionally, county commissioners and sheriffs from Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee counties have been invited to participate in the discussion.

This marks the first time that St. Lucie County's Public Safety Coordinating Council has hosted a Circuit-wide meeting.
