Wednesday, February 16, 2011 - County Commissioners Revise Meeting Schedule

The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners agreed this week to revise the number of meetings it holds each month.

Commissioners will now hold their regular meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. and the third Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Roger Poitras Administration Complex, 2300 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce. St. Lucie County Commissioners will hold their informal meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. in Conference Room 3 of the Poitras Administration Complex.

However, there will be a slight change to that schedule for the month of March. The Board's regular night meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1 at 6 p.m.; the Board’s regular morning meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 22 at 9 a.m. and the informal meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 29 at 9 a.m.

The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners' regular meetings will be televised live on SLCTV (Comcast 21) and online at www.stlucieco.gov/slctv.

County Commissioners agreed to formally adopt the revised meeting schedule, following a two-month trial basis, citing that the reduction in the amount of Board meetings allowed staff to redirect roughly 425 hours back into County operations.
