Friday, March 18, 2011 - Waveland Beach Closed For Repairs March 21

St. Lucie County's Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department will close Waveland Beach on Monday, March 21 as crews repair damages to the wooden steps leading down to the beach.

The popular lifeguarded, beach park, located at 10350 South Ocean Drive, Jensen Beach, is scheduled to be closed for one day only as the crews remove and replace the entire wooden staircase.  Since the dune crossover is the park's only access to the beach, officials have decided to close the park for the day. 

During this closure, beachgoers are encourage to visit, St. Lucie County's other lifeguard beach, Pepper Park Beach, located at 3302 North State Road A1A, North Hutchinson Island.
