Current Planning
The mandate of the Current Planning Section is to provide services to all participants in the development review process by implementing and applying the St. Lucie County Land Development Code, St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan and applicable state laws. The Section is responsible for processing applications for development and providing public information on general planning matters. This Section seeks to protect and preserve the high quality of the County's natural and built environments.
Similar to SB 360 in 2009, SB 1752 allows for an extension of existing permits or development orders that are currently in compliance. St. Lucie County’s SB 1752 extension procedures are explained here.
